This eagle is located on the campus of Eastern University in St. Davids, PA.

I originally shot the image using a Nikon Coolpix 3100.

I took a greyscale version and reduced the color depth to 4-5 bits.
I took a color version and incresed the saturation and reduced the contrast until there was only color left. That was then blurred heavily.
I averaged those together, giving more emphasis to the color version, resulting in this image.

I tried several manipulations beyond what you see here, but they all struck me as fiddling with finished art, trying to make something better by making it more complicated.
